Joint Usage/Research CenterEducational ProgramThe Material Science Seminar SeriesZAIKEN Open Seminar In April 2018, ZAIKEN was approved by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as a “Joint Research Center for Environmentally Conscious Technologies in Materials and Science,” and it has been in the second phase of its operations since April 2024. Based on the three themes of “long product life,” “recycling,” and “energy saving,” Zaiken accepts proposals every year from outside of Waseda University for “joint research” and conducts research that is approved by the evaluation committee. It also accepts proposals for “joint usage,” mainly for short-term research and tests. Educational courses for fostering front-line engineers, collectively called “Educational Program,” are offered to corporate engineers, young researchers, and graduate students. The subjects for these courses are selected each year, and specialists who are actively engaged in work in the selected fields are invited to give lectures. As part of the Joint Usage/Research Center Program, online seminars by leading researchers in the four fields of electronic materials, structural materials, chemical materials, and soft matter materials are offered to engineers working in companies, young researchers, and graduate students. As part of our contribution to society, an open seminar is held once a year on selected hot topics in the field of materials science and engineering. This seminar, conducted by specialists working at the forefront of the field, is open to participants from both inside and outside the university.材料科学連続セミナーThe Material Science Seminar Series5 2018年４月より「環境整合材料基盤技術共同研究拠点」として文科省より認定を受け、2024年4月からは第二期として事業を継続している。「長寿命」「リサイクル」「省エネルギー」の３つの方向性に基づいた研究課題を、広く学外から毎年「共同研究」として公募し、採択されたテーマについて研究を行っている。また短期の「共同利用」も随時受け付けている。 社会人の技術者や若手研究者、および大学院生を対象に、最先端の技術者育成のための講座を「教育プログラム」と称して行っている。このプログラムの講座テーマは毎年設定し、テーマに関連する企業で、実際に第一線で活躍している方に講師をお願いしている。 共同利用・共同研究拠点事業の一環として、社会人の技術者や若手研究者および大学院生を対象に、電子・構造・化学・ソフトマター４分野の第一線で活躍している研究者によるオンラインセミナーを開催している。 社会貢献の一環として、毎年１回、材料技術に関わるホットなテーマをとりあげ、第一線の講師によるセミナーをオープンとし、広く学内外の人を対象に開催している。共同利用・共同研究拠点教育プログラム材料科学連続セミナー材研オープンセミナー
